Reliable, Cutting-Edge System Uses Trouble-Free Wireless Connections
Keep your home or business safe and secure with this reliable, cutting-edge wireless security system. The SC-1000 utilizes innovative technology with trouble-free wireless connections to provide security, making it a great choice for protecting against intruders and safeguarding in case of an accident, fire, flood, or other emergency.

Do-it-Yourself Security Eliminates the Need for Monitoring Fees
The SC-1000 is a do-it-yourself system, which means you can easily install it yourself and then use it without paying monitoring fees or registering with an alarm company. To arm or disarm, you simply enter your personal code or use the keychain transmitter.

Rolling-Code Technology for Maximum Security and Fewer False Alarms

The Skylink SC-1000 Complete Wireless Alarm System:
  • Offers fast, easy installation
  • Utilizes Advanced Rolling Code Technology
  • Automatically calls for help in the event of an emergency
  • Dials up to 9 different numbers of your choice and sends out your personal 40 second message
  • Can be customized using up to 30 Skylink accessories
  • Does not require expensive, monthly monitoring fees

Skylink is the first company to incorporate rolling-code technology into a home/business security system, which means that the SC-1000 provides maximum security while virtually eliminating the number of false alarms. A rolling code (or hopping code) is often used in entry systems that don't require a key, because it prevents an eavesdropper from capturing and using your personal security code. Thanks to rolling-code technology, the SC-1000's control panel will recognize radio waves only from its remote sensors (door/window sensor, motion sensor, and keychain transmitter), thereby preventing high-tech thieves from duplicating signals and tampering with your system.

Motion, Door, and Window Sensors for Reliable Emergency Protection
The SC-1000 comes complete with a motion sensor and two door/window sensors--enough coverage for small- to medium-sized homes. Because it works in conjunction with up to 30 Skylink security accessories, including Dial Alert, Alarm Detector Sensor, and Flood Sensor, this system can be customized to suit your needs and can be expanded to accommodate larger spaces or businesses that require a higher level of protection. If any sensors are triggered when the system is armed, the included 110dB siren will make a piercing sound, and the sensor will immediately send a wireless signal to the system's dialer.

Automatically Calls for Help in an Emergency
In case of an emergency, the SC-1000 follows a straightforward process to make sure you get the help you need. When you receive the system, you can program the emergency dialer to call up to nine different phone numbers, including your cellular phone, a pager, your doctor, relatives, friends, neighbors, etc., should something trigger one of the sensors. You'll also record a personal 40-second emergency message. In case of emergency, the system's dialer will automatically dial the number or numbers you have entered. Once the recipient picks up the phone, the emergency dialer will play your prerecorded message and inform the recipient that you are in an emergency situation and that help should be sent right away.

Lighted Keypad and Low-Battery Indicator for Easy Operation
Offering simple and straightforward operation, the SC-1000 features a lighted keypad that is easy to read in dark conditions and offers Chime, Instant, and Delay modes. It runs on AC power with nine-volt alkaline battery backup (battery included), and provides a helpful low-battery indicator to prevent a loss of power.

What's in the Box
Alarm with control panel (SC-001); one motion sensor (PS-434A); two door/window sensors (WT-433); one keychain transmitter (4B-434); one emergency dialer (AD-433S); two adapters; three nine-volt alkaline batteries; three 12-volt alkaline batteries; phone line; instruction manual; and warranty card.

This kit includes everything you need to guard a medium-sized home. Add up to 30 Skylink accessories for full, customized protection of larger spaces.

5 out of 5 stars Works perfectly - love the key fob!   August 15, 2010

We purchased this because we basically wanted something for our French door. My husband is very careful about making sure all the doors are dead-bolted at night, but the French doors seem awful easy to kick in if you really wanted to. Additionally, we have a couple teenagers, and we sleep on a different floor than they do. We don't want anyone sneaking out at night. ;) So, we purchased this system to cover a couple windows and the French door, and to allow us to sleep a little easier. I usually have no problem with anything technical - in fact, I love pushing buttons! But for some reason I was very nervous about setting this up. It sat in the box for almost two weeks before I decided to tackle it. But once I did, it was easy. I set it up, hooked up the phone dialer (which my husband thinks is amazing, by the way.) I liked the key fob best. You can enable or disable the alarm from it, and it contains a panic button. And this thing is LOUD! We are very happy with our choice. We may add a water alarm to the system as well. Great system!

2 out of 5 stars Didn't work out   August 27, 2010

We are currently under contract to one of those home monitoring companies and are looking to get something on our own and out of their contract. We had hoped this would be the one.

Unfortunately we had a number of times when the alarm would go off for no reason. I don't need false alarms to drag me home from work or create unnecessary panic. We made adjustments and did some trouble shooting, but the phantom alarms continued.

Installing the unit is very easy and the instructions are clearcut to use. But when we called the company to ask questions about the product, we only received one call back (when we were not home), and after we returned the call, we never heard back from them again. Perhaps it was just some glitch or miscommunication. But we've decided to continue looking until we find the right match.

1 out of 5 stars Horrible, this customer service.   September 1, 2010

Always get a voice mail box.

If you leave a message, a crackly return call may come your way in a few days. Garbled reception, heavy incomprehensible accents.

Try the email. Some drone will repeat the instruction from the manual verbatim. Need further help? They'll ask you to send the unit back to them for "inspection" (at your expense). No thanks.

A year ago, they had actual human customer service, today they try to hide from you.
