Completely wireless and easy to install, this PIR motion sensor 120dB alarm and chime with strobe light is ideal for protection your home, office and store. It can be placed on a table or hung on the wall with the included adjustable mounting bracket. It will detect motion from up to 30 feet away by 120 degree wide. (Note: Actual area of coverage may vary depending on site condition.) If not disarmed by the owner, the unit will respond with an ear piercing 120 dB alarm, and the flashing light will scare off the intruder and alert others. This alarm and chime is packed with features: You may select either alarm or chime mode by holding the remote button for 3 seconds. Entry and exit delays with LED indicators for alarm mode only. The alarm also allows you to set your own programmable codes for additional security. You'll never have to worry about the batteries being dead, even though the unit comes with a low battery indicator, since the unit can be powered by a 9v AC adapter (not included.) A switch on the side of the strobe light allows the light to remain on and be used for emergency lighting during a power outage. Ideal security for a home, retail store, office, dorm room, or hotel room. The alarm / chime requires one 9 volt battery and 4 AA batteries. Dimensions: 6 .5 inches x 2.5 inches x 2 inches. Yes this thing is ear piercing! Any thief will leave the area as quickly as possible. The strobe is great in the darkness. Really a neat small package too. I got it for my boat cabin. It is unbelievably loud and bright in the cabin. I have it set to go off when the cabin door opens. I taped the little red light so you can not see it in the dark. I tested it yesterday and can still hear it. Did I say this thing is loud?

The Strobe Motion Alarm is an excellent alarm for use in areas where a portable or temporary installation is needed (such as rental apartments).
The detector is sensitive, and quickly detects motion in the protected area. The alarm is LOUD, and the flashing strobe is bright. The remote arms and disarms the alarm with the push of a single button.
I have used this alarm for about a year, and haven't experienced any false alarms.
As portable alarms go, this is one of the best!

This alarm is a great product. I purchased some other alarms before. Other alarms made so many fales alarm, so it was useless and very annoying. However, this alarm so far(2 months) "never" made any false alarm. Easy to use, alarm sound is loud. One thing, I do not like about this product is... taking 15 seconds to activate alarm sound after motion dectected. Overall, it is a great product. I will buy one more for my basement soon.

I've had similar motion detectors that didn't work at all or were very finicky. This one works exactly as advertised, and I couldn't be happier with it. I'll be buying another one soon for my workshed.
Haven't noticed that it eats batteries (like the other poster, who gave it only one star). I never use batteries that come with electronics -- they are always sub-par. I put in some Duracells and they're going strong 3 months later. Changing batteries once a year is acceptable (just like smoke alarm batteries).

It picks up intruders fast, and the IR covers a wide area. Infact, for the price.... This alarm is so good that I just couldn't resist buying a 2nd one to cover all angles. There's not a better deal out there. Mine are placed outside, and they pick up an intruder every, single, time. Fast delivery from this seller too! Buy with confidence.
