Amazon.com Product Review Imagine walking into a room and having the lights turn on automatically, then shut off automatically after you've left. All this can be yours with Heath Zenith's the SL-6105 motion sensor, which can be used to replace the manual switch for just about any incandescent or fluorescent light fixture.Installation is simply a matter of turning off the power, removing the existing wall switch, installing the motion sensor (which requires connecting a couple of wires and installing a couple of screws), then turning the power back on. Once it's installed, you can adjust the switch to activate at the light level of your choosing, and you can also specify the amount of time the light should stay on when it senses motion, from five seconds to 20 minutes. Used in the right circumstances, this little switch could give you added convenience in lighting and maybe even save you some money on your electrical bills. Range for fluorescent load is 30 minimum to 400 watts maximum rapid start; incandescent load is up to 500 watts maximum. May also be used with motors up to 1/8 horsepower maximum. Five-year limited warranty.--Josh Dettweiler What's in the Box Sensor switch, cover plate, three wire connectors, two large and two small screws

Works fantastic with incandescent lights! November 26, 2009 J. Amicucci (USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
There are a few 1 star reviews on here for this product so I thought those need to be countered with a 5 star review for how well this product works with incandescent lights. I cannot attest to use with fluroscent lights, but I have now installed 4 of these in my home (pantry, laundry room, and two closets). All have worked flawlessly for a year or more now.
I like the fact that you can adjust the time from 5 seconds to 20 minutes, allows for flexibility. Installation was a breeze (if you have ever installed a light switch before you'll have no problem with this). Works well, you walk in and "boom" light goes on and always goes out at time indicated. I live with people who love to leave lights on all over the house so this has been a real help to me.
Crap January 23, 2010 WilfredTR (Queens, NY) Wow, wish I had read these reviews BEFORE buying this product. Worked once, and never again. I'm very disappointed. I have to agree with all the other reviewers who gave this a "prododuct recall" review.
Do not buy February 15, 2008 James Linden (New Orleans, LA) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Does not work with electronic ballasts like previous reviewer said, plus the on/off/auto switch fell apart the very first time I tried to switch it to 'on'. I do not recommend this product, and should be removed from Amazon. Returning now for refund.
Should not be advertised as is. April 20, 2010 synopsoid1 (Ayer, MA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This unit does not work with electronic ballasts, which almost all fluorescent (Compact fluorescent or otherwise) are now sold with. One would be hard pressed to find a non-electronic (magnetic) ballast fluorescent lamp at their local home supply store. This is the second Item that does not have a proper list of technical specifications or product description that I have had the luxury of purchasing from amazon.
The box, unlike the product description specifies only magnetic ballast fluorescent lighting. The manual contained within the box does not specify this and simply states it works with fluorescent loads 30W to 400W. This is a dangerous item.
Do not purchase this if you plan on utilizing a CFL/fluorescent light with electronic ballast. Doing so may cause a fire in "AUTO" mode and arcing in the unit occurs when switching from AUTO to ON.
Doesn't work with compact flourscents, either February 24, 2008 C. Koch 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
Don't waste your time with this one. It doesn't work with compact flourescents. The lights just repeatedly turn on and off. That's inexcusable for a lighting control product these days.
